Can the homes be owner built?
Yes. Each Bush & Beach 'kit home' is accompanied with a comprehensive and detailed set of working drawings, which have been prepared to assist the owner builder.
Can your designs be modified?
Yes. We understand modifications may need to be made to suit your lifestyle, site conditions and budget etc. Our Bush & Beach range of standard designs can be modified, providing the changes can be adapted to our 'eco building systems' and engineering requirements.
Can you supply a 'kit' to our design?
The Bush & Beach design team can evaluate your own home design to ascertain if it can be modified to fit within our 'eco building systems' and engineering requirements.
What is included in the 'kit'?
In general, the goods we supply are intended to take your home to lockup (enclosed) stage. Please refer to the designs page for a list of goods and services we provide.
What is the delivery cost?
Delivery costs (which are included in the total price) vary depending on the size of the home, and the distance to site.
What framing materials are used in the home?
Products pertaining to our unique 'eco building systems' include a mixture of hot dipped galvanized steel, treated and stress graded timber and engineered timber components which are strategically used to best advantage each particular application.
Can the homes be built on sloping sites?
Yes. Bush & Beach homes are light weight and are easily adapted to sloping sites utilizing distinctive hot dipped galvanized steel sub floor posts and cross bracing where required.
Are the homes energy rated?
Yes. The company ensures the design complies with the statutory energy rating schemes mandatory to the location of which the home is supplied.
Are there any other cost factors to consider?
Yes. There are several factors that can affect the cost. Such as; wind classification, location and accessibility of site, site conditions, height of floor level above ground, soil type, bushfire assessment level, exposure to environmental factors etc.
What does 'Green Smart' mean?
Bush & Beach has staff who have undertaken training with the Housing Industry Association 'Green Smart' program, which outlines a practical approach to building, focusing on educating builders, designers, product manufacturers and consumers on the benefits of environmentally responsible housing.
